Professional Engineer (PE) Continuing Education Courses
Workforce Development is excited to announce the development of seminar style courses to offer to the Professional Engineer. The 5 hour courses are designed for the Professional Engineer to receive professional development continuing education to meet State requirements. These courses are on WSCC's campus, reducing the need for extensive travel in order to take these courses. Additionally, these courses are conveniently offered on Saturdays. In Fall 2009 we will offer:
1. Process & Instrumentation Diagrams - Date: Sept 26
2. Pumps & Hydraulics Review - Date: Oct 17
3. Storm Water Collection Systems & Controls - Date: Nov 7
Cost: $125/course (includes lunch)

Entry Level Photovoltaic (Solar) System Installation Training
This five-day intensive training teaches the basic technology and skills required for entry level knowledge of the design and installation of solar photovoltaic systems. These skills do not replace electrical, technical and engineering trades; rather they are appropriate for a supervised position with a PV installer or other PV industry company.

Online Process Troubleshooting Course
Process Operators today are more highly trained than the operator of a generation ago. Dealing with technical problems on their units, resolving problems, and keeping their units running is all part of the job. This online course will help the Process Operator to develop the ability to identify, analyze and resolve process problems and abnormal situations. Stay tuned for details!
