Workforce Development Learning Resource Rentals

To accommodate learning for various groups throughout the region, Workforce Development makes its classrooms, computer labs, and 14-station portable learning lab available for rent.

Classroom Rental

The Center for Business and Technology (CBT), in which Workforce Development is located, is a professional training facility for adult learners. Classrooms are designed for state-of-the-art technology applications and comfort. To meet various needs, each room is designed and equipped differently. In general, however, uses of the facility include credit and non-credit instruction, corporate training, corporate rentals, conferences, testing, meetings, luncheons, and dinners. Specific room descriptions follow.

Rooms BT102 and BT104: Computer Labs

• 13 Student Computers
• 1 Instructor Computer
• Pentium 4 Computers
• 3.06 GHz
• 1 GB RAM
• Internet (Wireless) Connectivity
• Ceiling-Mounted LCD Projector
• 1 Smart Board

Rooms BT103 and BT105: General Classrooms

• Seats 40 Students
• Ceiling-Mounted LCD Projector
• Audiovisual Equipment (TV, DVD, VCR)
• Audio Amplification System
• Internet Connectivity
• Food Service Station with Bunn Coffee Maker

Notes:

• Food and drink allowed. Food service may be catered externally.
• Technician available upon request for specific audiovisual equipment customization.

Room Rental Reservations

CBT classrooms and labs are available to both for-profit and non-profit groups and organizations. However, the procedures are different. See below for details.

In accordance with Washington State Community College policy, Sunday room rentals will incur an additional fee due to overtime pay for staff. Rooms (not including equipment or services) could range from $225 to $300 for eight hours.

A 25% surcharge will apply for rescheduling of rooms, equipment, and/or programs.

Charges for technical support will be assessed based upon the complexity of the setup and tear-down requirements of your room, service and equipment rentals. Additional charges for special setup/tear-down arrangements (i.e., those that go beyond standard arrangements) may be assessed.

All audiovisual services are coordinated through Microcomputer Support and a WSCC AV specialist. To coordinate AV equipment requests contact Bobbie Bice.
