Classroom Specifications
The Center for Business and Technology is a professional training facility for adult learners. Classrooms are designed for state of the art technology applications and comfort for adult students. Uses of the facility include credit and non-credit instruction, corporate training, corporate rentals, conferences, testing center, meetings/luncheons and dinners.Classroom specifications include:

Room Rental Procedures and Practices
FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS: This form is used for profit organizations only.
FOR NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS: Non-profit organization requests should be directed to the Records Office for room reservations at no charge. If a non-profit organization wishes to reserve a room in the Center for Business & Technology, appropriate rental charges will be assessed.

1. Evaluate if potential room rental is in alignment, not in conflict, with the Center for Business & Technology purpose. Review the master schedule for the instructional classes (credit or non-credit) for potential conflicts for specific room usage.

2. Obtain accurate information from the contact person or group representative requesting to rent facility space on the Building Use Request Form.
- • Determine actual use time and the set-up/clean-up time requirements.
• Determine the special services requested.
• Determine the chair/table/audio-visual requirements and group size and number of rooms needed
- 3. Evaluate the food service needs in conjunction with the potential room rental location and special set-up needs. (Gather appropriate forms for distribution.)
- 4. The starting point in determine room costs are as follows, with particular attention to the special services that are expected or needed and the increasing need to involve the AV specialist, as extra costs. Charges apply for up to eight hours of usage.
- 5. Sunday rentals will have an additional cost in accordance with Washington State Community College policy and could range from $225 to $300 for 9 hours due to overtime staff cost.
- 6. A 25% surcharge will apply for rescheduling of rooms, equipment, and programs.

Technical Support will be assessed depending on the complexity of the set-up and teardown per rental. There are extra charges for special set-ups from standard (classroom) arrangements and audiovisual services. All AV services are coordinated through the Library with the AV Specialist.
